Reviewing an AHU Technical Data Sheet: A Practical Checklist
An AHU technical data sheet should let the receiving engineer understand the proposed unit, its operating conditions and the basis of its stated performance. Agree the required content with the project team before issuing it.
Review the basic information
- Project, unit and revision references.
- Design airflow, temperatures, humidity and pressure assumptions.
- Selected component models and the sources of their performance data.
- Main dimensions, connections, access and transport requirements.
- Electrical, acoustic and other project-specific information.
- Outstanding assumptions, exclusions and items awaiting confirmation.
Reconcile the documents
Compare the data sheet and drawing. Check units and dimensions, and confirm that both refer to the same revision. Review calculation inputs against the project specification and supporting supplier selections.
Treat examples as examples
Download an illustrative AirSelect3D technical document (PDF) to discuss layout and information needs. The example is not a certification document or approval for another project. Any performance labels and numbers need checking against the actual component data and applicable requirements before use.
